Let me see where to start.....
okie, one tired wed morning, adrian came in and suggested joining some sch competition thingy that has an iPod Nano as the top prize and pulled ppl along. Since most of the Gsr8 is going, so might as well. This event is rather a dumbo, standing on one leg competition, the person who last the longest wins. So fri, rushed from musci east and west to the com. started at 4.30pm. So we started the competition. our grp stood together, talking and chit chatting away. lotsa them came down to support. 2 hrs passed, and bout 10 outta bout 40 gave up, so 30 was left. ZQ and adrian gave up leaving me, jo and adrien, another 2 hrs passed, poor jo was beginning to struggle, cuz by this time the soles of the feet gets really aching and painful. By this time, about 13 people left. woooo, just pressed on. So each of us became really quiet, hahaa cuz it's painful and ya know u gotta kinda shift yourself consistently to prevent cramps and muscle stiffness. Some were hopping ard trying to ease the pain. hoho
4 hrs and a half - few more collasped, two even had to be carried out, oh my. can't blame them, it's really painful. Then Prof Desai came and took some photos, the rest were standin by me, providing encouragement. sooo touched... 5 left in the game.
5th hour - 2 more gave up. Then 3 of us left. Then one of the 3 proposed that we 3 give up together and split the prize. No way... haha i may sound bad, but after competing for sooo long, to give up now would be such a waste!! so i refused although they kept up with it. 5 hr 15mins - one more collapsed !! oh man so now it's me and him. By now my soles really hurt to the core boy, i mean really hurt. But my frens kept cheering me on...
So the other guy proposed we give up again, and split the prize.... then he kept asking why i want the ipod, what's my purpose blah blahblah, i mean it's kinda an un-sporting spirit. But i kindly refused, so we stood on.
It was nearly the 6th hr mark that he hopped and hopped ard and all of the sudden, he collapsed !! gosh. Then what i heard after that was all my frens screaming away .... hahaha i won!! yeah!! Below are some photos.
The glorious moment but of course it's only with their support that i made it.
Actually the ipod itself ain't really that matters, what matter more was 1) the supportive friends that were there encouraging me. 2) The glorious feeling of victory. it's fulfulling.
My leg hurts now..hohoho... but it's worth it. The black nano is a beauty.
