Swiss Hotel Vertical Marathon

73 levels up swiss hotel. An impossible feat or at least it must be a real struggle to get up there. Reason ? Ever tried having to have your HDB or condo lift malfunction before and you having to climb at least more than 5 storeys up. Even then the exhaustion was evident. So compare, maybe u'll roughly have the same thought chain as i did.

The crowd was pretty much joyful, sporting and friendly. A quite upbeat atmosphere. 7.54am, they started flagging us off by batch of 8. ZQ & ray was with me, the rest went a batch later. Off we went, a short run down pass cafe cartel and starbucks into the tortureous stairway. To make it worse, the narrow 2 person width stairway was quite badly ventilated, at least for the first 30 storeys. Then it got better after that. Halfway up, you could literally hear the heavy panting few levels above you that goes " wooo huuurrrr hoooo " some went arrrrrr! some stuck to the wall, trying to gasp for air for the "anytime exploding lungs" from the climb.

40 storey - legs started giving way, lungs really felt like bursting. So i started going towards the railing.
50 storey - legs not much use however hard u tried using them. using both hands pulling myself up oredi.
irritating thing is that so many ppl choop the railing, then diff to use also.
60 storey - mind almost blank. just thinking of that 13 storeys more. Feeling is terrible
70 storey - gave everything oredi... almost there!
73 storey - Yes!!
