Deception

What's deception and what does it mean to be deceived? Maybe it would be believing in something untrue?or believing something about some truth that are hidden from you? It somewhat or rather, as i reflected during certain juntures of my life, that deception is indeed deceptive.

More likely than not, a person being deceived knows it not that a lie or a deception has taken place. At the point in time, what they seem to deem as, they regard it as perhaps, truth?? Then the lie begins to take a toehold, then slowly to a foothold then finally a bondage perhaps. It applies, in my observation, to practically every aspect in life. There have been countless eg. One every good example: say the communist. A misconception that has driven ppl in perhaps the wrong way for decades. So much so that ppl willingly sacrifice their lives for communism.

Questions:

Jesus said: " You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." in another verse he quotes: " To whom the son has set free is free indeed!" But how many of us has been truly freed? How many heard and had their "eyes" opened to the truth. The truth to TRUE LIFE and life more abundantly. Or how is that we've been " ever hearing/seeing but not perceiving? Maybe some might say it's ignorance of the facts and it takes a process to find out truth. Well, fine with that. But how come is that we've been at times esposed to truth but yet not perceiving? May he open up our spiritual eyes to see and eyes to hear, the good things he had prepared for those who wait on him.
