Lazy owner

Maybe another "year" has passed since the owner even bothered to type in this rotting blog of his. Since our society is a fast moving one these days, who can blame its owner? Or maybe blogs aren't that appealing or justify-able to provide strong enough reasons to blog. Anyway...

Just had a blast of a time in bangkok before school started. Shan't talked bout the holidays yet, shall leave it for another post. 5 days 4 nights at the overated (by some ppl whom i shall keep their anonamity (Whatever the spelling) to prevent them from being stoned) Eastin hotel. I had quite a bad experience with the first morning's breakfast and only to find ourselves running to find food outside the hotel which was more edible. From grilled measly pieces of "God knows what" meat by the road side to the Gloriously delcious Som TUm and tom yum, you can really find it readily available in the streets of bangkok.

First stop was MBK, as usual walk and walk, left and right, up and down. Quite a huge place indeed. Bought one arhh emmm software for my camera, HP battery and cable as well as some other stuff. And mY!! the cable and battery is REALLY CHEAP. CHEAP!!

Next was SIam Square, really love this place, really reminds of taipei when i was there. It gives u that upbeat city feel but of course taipei atmosphere is enhanced by the so call pop singers, celebrities and the wannabe or trying to make it singers. Adding to it the every mother's daughter will be there screaming their heads off to get the attention of these stars. Sometime it really sets u wondering... Back to siam square, got my hair cut in a quite professional way at $12, not forgetting to mention washing too. And mind you, they really WASH your hair. They washed mine 3 times in a span of an hour!! maybe i have kootoo in my head, that's y.

next CHATCHUCHAK, few advices for guys when visiting this place:

1) Shop alone, if not maybe at most with one more friend.
2) Never shop with the gals, you'll prob die inside.
3) if a gal insist on u shopping with her, run away.
4) wear jeans is prob a bad idea, wear berms.
5) water parade before shopping.
6) brush up your bargaining skills (i've learned that successful bargaining is a skill to be learned)
7) learn some thai phrases.

This place really have good stuff if you take your time and hunt. You'll really get some good bargains.

BEsides all the activities during those 5 days, i must say that thai ppl (generally) are quite friendly ppl. Generally a polite and warm bunch. i guess different cultures groom different values in ppl. Shan't elaborate much here.

Anyway sch's started, slow moving for the first wk. Some modules are just a waste of time, esp ethics! The prof started the morning by asking "A doctor performing an abortion, is it right or wrong" My!! it set the class arguing for the next 20 - 30 mins. Result ???? no right or wrong. Ethical values depends on the individual. @$#%@$%@#%!!!! no wonder the world is in haywire.

all right, i'm tired of typing, shall stop here now. Be back " errrr soon "....
